HORSE AND SLEIGH RIDE
When we arrive in Risvika, your guide for the evening will welcome you to our Sámi lavvy (traditional Sámi housing.) You will be informed about the centre, and the activities we offer – as well as the necessary facilities.
We enjoy a fresh, hot cup of coffee beside the bonfire. Outside the lavvy a horse and sleigh is waiting for us, to guide you for a 20-30 minutes sleigh ride in our area. If you should choose the evening ride, this will be the perfect occasion to look for the northern lights or just to enjoy the silence, the star filled sky, and the sounds from the horse bells. T he guide will inform you about the northern lights.
After the sleigh ride you can choose if you want to take a look around our farm, and to go to the shore and check for seal and sea eagle. The lavvy is heated and prepared for you, and you can enjoy the heat from the bonfire, and the coffee made on it – while a storyteller guides you through the Sámi culture and their way of living. |
